It is a pity that you don't provide linux binaries or ppa. I have the same problem as in the question but I cant find a package yaru-theme-icon in Ubuntu 18.04. The manual will be opened in a browser window (unless the browser command is not set correctly in the Tools tab of the Preferences dialog). The geany package should depend on yaru-theme-icon, but it doesnt. Choose the Help->Help menu item to view the HTML version. In Geany, check the Help menu and About item to check the version you need to download. Consult the README file in each release/repository for instructions.
